Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Receives Saudi Defense Minister


Riyadh, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of the Republic of Yemen Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi received Wednesday during his visit to the Kingdom, the Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.

During the reception, the defense minister conveyed to Dr. Al-Alimi the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who also extended their wishes for security, stability, and prosperity to Yemen and its brotherly people.

For his part, Dr. Al-Alimi conveyed to the defense minister his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the HRH Crown Prince.

There was an affirmation during the meeting on the fraternal ties between the two brotherly countries.

They discussed the latest developments in Yemen, efforts to support peace, and progress made regarding the roadmap to end the Yemeni crisis an
d achieve a comprehensive political solution under the auspices of the United Nations. Such a solution aims to unite the Yemeni ranks and fulfil the aspirations of its brotherly people.

The defense minister stressed the Kingdom’s steadfast and supportive stance towards ensuring the security and stability of Yemen, fulfilling the aspirations of its brotherly people.

The reception was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Jaber and Minister of Defense Office’s Director General Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif.

From the Yemeni side, Presidential Office Director Dr. Yahya Mohammed Ashuaibi and Presidential Council Office Director Major General Saleh Al-Muqalih, attended the reception.
