Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif called for developing cooperation between Iran and Bangladesh by taking advantage of innovative mechanisms.
Speaking in a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh Shahriar Alam, Zarif discussed developing relations with Bangladesh in political, economic and cultural fields.
He appreciated Bangladesh’s stances with regard to Palestinian issue and its cooperation with regard to developing ties.
Meanwhile, Alam praised Zarif efforts in line with developing relations with Bangladesh.
Both sides reviewed issues related to Rohingya refugees, cooperation in Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and direct flights between two countries.
