140 Saudi-led coalition forces killed over past 48 hours
Tehran, Some 140 Saudi-led coalition's forces were killed during the clashes with the Yemeni Army and popular committees in Al-Hudaidah province over the past 48 hours.
According to Al-Massira news network, 236 others were wounded during the clashes between Yemeni Army and popular committees and forces affiliated to the Yemen's resigned president Abd-Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.
A military official said on the condition of anonymity that of the 140 killed over the past, 40 were killed on Wednesday and 100 on Thursday. 186 were wounded today (Thursday) and 50 on Wednesday.
Mansur Hadi's forces wanted to advance to the city of al-Darihami, south of Hodeidah but they faced resistance of the popular forces and were finally defeated.
Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly, indiscriminate airstrikes on civilians in an attempt to restore power to fugitive president, Abd-Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.
Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly Saudi aggression.
