2 Iranian lawyers sentenced to 5 yrs in prison
Tehran, Iranian lawyers Arash Keykhosravi and Qasem Shole Saadi who had been arrested on August 18 due to protests in front of Iran Majlis (parliament) have been sentenced to 5 years in jail.
Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Monday, Abouzar Nasrollahi, the lawyer of Arash Keykhosravi said he has been sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for collaboration to act against national security and to 1 year in prison for conducting propaganda campaign against the government.
He went on to say that Shole Saadi has also been sentenced for the same crimes.
The verdicts can be protested against and should be approved by an appeal court.
