3.2-magnitude jolts Mazandaran
An earthquake measuring 3.2 on Richter scale hit central Mazandaran province at 21:30 local time (18:00 GMT) on Tuesday.
According to the Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the epicenter of the quake was located at Khoushroudpey, a suburb of Babel.
The tremor occurred at 36.246 degrees longitude and 52.401 degrees latitude at the depth of ten kilometers underground.
No report has been released yet on the likely casualty or damage to property.
Iran sits on major fault lines and is prone to near-daily earthquakes.
