38% rise in oil exports from Kharg Island in southern Iran
Bushehr, Hormuzgan Prov, IRNA Managing director of Iranian Oil Terminals Company (IOTC) Pirouz Mousavi said as many as 870 million barrels of oil were exported from southern Kharg Island in last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2018).
He said that the figure showed 38 percent of increase as compared to the figure in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Mousavi told IRNA on Tuesday that the bulk of oil have been exported to many countries through the IOTCC tankers.
He said China, India, Japan, Turkey and South Korea were the main destinations of the exports.
Mousavi added that South Africa, Sri Lanka, France and Italy are also customers of Iranian oil.
He noted that Iran exports to Europe stands at 600,000 barrels per day on the average.
