4 national petrochemical projects start operation at President’s order

Four national petrochemical projects of the Ministry of Oil in Fars, Bushehr and Markazi provinces were inaugurated on Thursday with the order of the President via video conference.

In the 63rd move of 'Prudence and Hope for Surge in Production' campaign, President Hassan Rouhani ordered the official operation of the C2+ extraction unit of Parsian Sepehr Refinery in Mehr city of Fars province, C2+ separation unit of the refinery in Assaluyeh, Bushehr province, the first production unit of polypropylene catalyst in the country and the first production unit of heavy polyethylene catalyst with CX technology in Shazand Petrochemical Research and Technology Company of Arak.

To implement these projects, $1.023 billion has been invested by the private sector, and with the start of their official operation, stable employment will be directly created for at least 850 people.
