Riyadh: Under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the 44th edition of King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation of the Holy Quran will start in Makkah in August.The competition is organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, and the total prize value amounts to SAR4 million.On this occasion, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh thanked Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their care of the holy Quran and Muslims.The competition consists of five parts: memorization of the entire Holy Quran, with proper reading and intonation according to the seven variable ways of reading; memorization of the entire holy book and the interpretation of its vocabulary; proper reading and intonation; memorizat ion of 15 parts of the Holy Quran, with proper reading and intonation; memorization of five parts, with proper reading and intonation.Source: Saudi News Agency
