54 Iranian firms attending Damascus Int’l Fair
Damascus, Iran envoy to Syria says 54 Iranian companies are participating in the 60th Damascus International Fair.
Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Friday, Javad Torkabadi said presence of Iranian companies indicates good ties between Tehran and Damascus.
The event is a good opportunity for Iranian economic firms, he said.
Iran's contribution to reconstruction of Syria was a suitable chance for private sector to showcase its potential, he added.
This participation is start of a new movement in economic and trade relations between Iran and Syria, Torkabadi reiterated.
International and local figures attended the opening ceremony, on top, President of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba and in the presence of 48 foreign and Arab countries and a big number of trade and industrial companies, Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) earlier reported.
