85% of Iran Police’s equipment produced domestically
Tehran, Some 85 percent of equipment used by Iran's Police are produced domestically thanks to the capability and knowledge of the country's youths, said the managing director of a company affiliated to Naja (Iran's Police) Cooperation Foundation.
Iranian Police's equipment are of high quality compared to those used by police forces in other countries, Alireza Aliabadi, the CEO of Naji Pas Company, said at a press conference on Monday.
He said the 17th International Police, Security and Safety Equipment Exhibition (IPAS 2018) will be held in the Iranian capital of Tehran from October 1-4, 2018.
Aliabadi said domestic and foreign firms will take part in the expo.
Describing the equipment used by Iran's Police as modern, he added they employ the world's most modern technologies with high capacities in all fields.
Aliabadi listed the goals of the expo as modernizing Iranian police equipment, transferring the world's modern technologies in this field to the country and promoting the culture of using safety equipment in the society.
Among the other objectives of the exhibition, he added, are supporting Iranian elites and inventors involved in the production of such equipment and helping accelerate commercialization of their ideas and plans.
Aliabadi said in addition, expert meetings, to be attended by police experts, will be held on the sidelines of the expo.
He noted that the exhibition will be held in an area of 18,000 square meters to be home to 350 pavilions, adding some 193 brands will put on display 5,000 safety and police equipment at the fair.
