9 injured in terrorists’ shelling of Damascus
Damascus, Armed groups in Eastern Ghouta continued violation of the de-escalation zone agreement through targeting residential areas and public facilities in Damascus and its countryside.
A source at Damascus Police Command told SANA that the armed groups fired on Tuesday a rocket shell on al-Abbasyin area, injuring nine civilians.
Material damage was caused due to three rocket shells which landed in the vicinity of al-Tahrir and Umawyeen Squares.
SANA's reporter said that mortar shells landed in agricultural lands in Jaramana area, causing damage to the crops and vehicles used by the farmers.
Units of the Syrian Arab Army responded to the attack by targeting with precise strikes the areas from which shells were fired, destroying a number of rocket launchers and fortified positions and inflicting losses upon the armed groups.
