American delegation to visit Pakistan
Islamabad, Aug 1, An American delegation will visit Pakistan on Wednesday in order to confer with Pakistani political, military and security officials regarding the issues related to Afghanistan.
The American delegation's visit to Pakistan is simultaneous with the first day of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as the country's new Prime Minister.
'Alice Wells, the US Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, will head the delegation to Islamabad,' said the Spokesperson for Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nafees Zakaria on Tuesday.
Other than Afghanistan's issues, another goal of the American delegation's visit to Pakistan is to have serious talks with the country's officials in line with Donald Trump's administration's efforts to define new policies regarding south Asia.
It seems that the main part of the American delegation's talk will be with Pakistani military officials due to their involvement with borders and security issues related to Afghanistan.
