Tashkent, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian met an conferred with his counterpart from Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov on the sidelines of the ECO member countries' meeting here on Tuesday.
The ECO Foreign Ministers Conference, hosted by Uzbekistan in Tashkent began on Tuesday and Amirabdollahian arrived in Tashkent on Monday night to attend it.
The participants in ECO Foreign Ministers Conference include ministers and representatives from Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Iran, and Uzbekistan, which are the current ECO member countries.
The ECO Foreign Ministers Conference is held once a year in one of the member countries.
The Economic Cooperation Organization or ECO is an Asian political and economic intergovernmental organization that was founded in 1985 in Tehran by the leaders of Iran, Pakistan, and Turkey. It provides a platform to discuss ways to improve development and promote trade and investment opportunities.
