Amirabdollahian, Yemeni top negotiator meet in Muscat
Tehran, IRNA – Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian met and conferred with the top negotiator of the Yemeni Salvation Government Muhammad Abdul-Salam in Muscat on Monday.
The foreign minister in this meeting expressed deep regret over the prolongation of the imposed war against the oppressed Yemeni nation and stressed the need for ending the siege of Yemen and ending the war in that country.
“The only way to solve the problems with which the Yemeni people are entangled is the diplomatic way and Yemeni-Yemeni negotiations can draw the future Yemen and its political developments,” Amirabdollahian said.
Muhammad Abdul-Salam, for his part, in the meeting condoled with the Iranian government and people on the martyrdom of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s late ambassador to Yemen and appreciated Iran’s support for the Yemeni nation.
He also elaborated on the latest developments at the warfronts in Yemen.
The Iranian foreign minister who is in Muscat to meet the Omani officials also met and conferred with his Omani counterpart Sayyid Badr Albusaidi and exchanged viewpoints with him on issues of mutual interest.
He also stressed on Iran’s seriousness and good will in Vienna nuclear negotiations in a meeting with Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al-Said is the Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers in the Sultanate of Oman.
