Appreciation of Iranian products paves way for stronger Iran-Pakistan trade ties

Karachi, IRNA – The head of Iranian companies present at the International Trade Fair in Pakistan emphasizing the role of the private sector in the development of bilateral trade says appreciation of Iranian products at the fair paves way for stronger Iran-Pakistan trade ties.

Saeed Dehghani, CEO of Iran Exhibition and Trade Events Development Company, in an interview with IRNA on Sunday, the last day of the 3rd International Consumer Product Fair in Karachi said trade exhibitions are a tool for presenting companies’ products and provide a suitable platform for development of trade ties.

He said the event was a success and helped Iranian companies to negotiate business deals with other parties.

He noted with continuous follow-up and interactions after the first exhibition the Iranian companies were again given an opportunity to participate in the current exhibition in Pakistan.

The commercial activist of Iran added Pakistan International Trade Fair for three days showed that the people of this country, traders and domestic companies are interested in Iranian goods.

Saeed Dehghani, said there is a general popularity of Iranian goods in Pakistan and the Iranian companies are satisfied with the atmosphere of the exhibition and the visitors, and this indicates the constructive participation of the two neighbors through holding trade fairs.

He emphasized considering the policies of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran in order to develop trade with its neighbors, the private sector should also have a special focus in this field. “With this idea, we have chosen Pakistan as one of the main goals for holding business events,” he said.

He said the high quality of Iranian goods is the basis for the continuous presence of Iranian companies in Pakistan, and we have a plan to participate in such exhibitions after every three months and introduce other Iranian companies to the large market of Pakistan.

The CEO of Iran Exhibition and Trade Events Development Company added in addition to Pakistan, our next destination for the exhibition is in Central Asia and Kazakhstan, and the process of informing and registering applicant companies with the cooperation of Iran and Kazakhstan Chambers of Commerce will be done soon.

He added in order to increase the productivity of the Pakistan Trade Fair, a specialized meeting will be held tomorrow between representatives of Iranian companies with Pakistani businessmen and importers and members of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce.

Also on Wednesday, a specialized meeting will be held with the Iranian Consul General in Karachi to discuss various issues, including challenges and strategies for developing export and trade with Pakistan.
