Army, IRGC launch joint air maneuver South Iran
Bandar Abbas, The Islamic Republic of Iran Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) jointly started a maneuver in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman waters on Friday.
Deputy Commander of the Army for Publication and Public Relations Affairs Colonel Yousef Safipour told reporters on the sidelines of the maneuver that the wargame is on the occasion of the Sacred Defense Week (September 21-27).
He said the maneuver is the second such a joint maneuver, aiming raising combat readiness.
He added that nine F4, six Sukhoi Su-22, four Tucano and three Yak-12 aircraft, three Chinook helicopters and two 212' helicopters as well as four Mirages are taking part in the maneuver.
