AWBG Asian Qualifier to Kick off in Jeddah

The ANOC World Beach Games Asian Qualifier, hosted by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, will kick off today at the Red Sea Beach, Jeddah, with the participation of teams from Saudi Arabia, Oman, UAE, Iran, Thailand, and Japan. The tournament will last until May 27.

A quarter-final clash between the UAE and Oman will kick-start this year’s proceedings at 7:15 p.m. This match will be followed by Iran facing Thailand in the second quarter-final at 8:30 p.m.

The Saudi and Japanese teams are in the semi-finals. Saudi Arabia will face the winner of UAE vs Oman, whereas Japan will face off against the winner of Iran vs Thailand.

Winners of the Asian Qualifier will participate in the 2023 ANOC World Beach Games, to be held in Bali in August.
