Azeri defense minister condoles with Iran on air crash
Baku, Azerbaijan's Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov in a message to his Iranian counterpart and Chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri expressed condolences over the deadly crash of Boeing 707, which killed 15 on board.
The message read, I was sad to hear death of Iranian military men in the air crash and I consider your pain my own.
Expressing condolences to the families of the victims, he said, We share the sorrows of the bereaved families.
The plane that crashed in an Iranian airport Monday morning was carrying meat from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, said the Public Relation Office of the Iranian Army in a statement.
The plane which was a Boeing cargo 707 made an emergency landing in Fath Airport, in the province of Alborz west of capital, Tehran. It was on the runway when it hit a wall and caught fire.
