Azeri, Iranian economic activists hold joint meeting
The meeting was held on the venue of Confederation of Entrepreneurship office in Baku and ways to expand cooperation among entrepreneurs in different fields of economy, including agriculture sector and food production, were discussed and considered.
Undersecretary General of confederation Fuad Hamtov pointed to noticeable expansion of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan Republic and Iran and said that there are plenty of capacities between the two countries to deepen cooperation between private sectors.
He said entrepreneurs from Azerbaijan Republic have good experiences in presence in the markets of countries like Russia, Ukraine and Belarus and given to good quality of Iranian made merchandizes and appropriate prices, the activists of the two countries by strengthening their cooperation may have effective presence in the markets of these states.
Chairman of Board of Directors of the Chamber of Cooperative of West Azarbaijan province Ali Asghar Ali Akbari called this visit important for the expansion of bilateral cooperation.
He said that holding exhibitions by Iranian and Azeri companies in both countries are important to acquaint businessmen with production capacities in different economic sectors.
Ways to cooperate in establishment of joint production units in agriculture and food products, active participation in markets in southern regions of Russia, Georgia, Ukraine and other neighboring states were among issues discussed in the meeting.
The Iranian delegation in their 3-day visit to Azerbaijan Republic, also visited Nakhchivan and considered ways of cooperation with related groups there as well.
