Azeri parliamentary delegation to attend Tehran PUIC confab
Baku A delegation from Azerbaijan National Assembly is scheduled to travel to Iran to attend the 13th Session of the PUIC Conference.
According to Azeri National Assembly media department, the delegation will stay in Iran until January 18.
The 13th Session of the PUIC Conference and other related meetings will open in Tehran Tuesday and will run until January 17.
The Founding Conference of the PUIC held in Tehran on 17 June 1999, decided to establish the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) with its permanent headquarters in Tehran. The headquarters was inaugurated on 24 April 2001.
The 39th Meeting of the PUIC Executive Committee, the 8th Meeting of the Standing Committee on Palestine, the 3rd Consultation Meeting of Secretaries General of Member Parliaments, Consultation Meeting of the Arab Group, 6th Meeting of the Standing Specialized Committee on Political Affairs and Foreign Relations, 6th Meeting of the Standing Specialized Committee on Human Rights, Women and Family Affairs, 6th Meeting of the Standing Specialized Committee on Cultural and Legal Affairs and Dialogue of Civilizations and Religions, 6th Meeting of the Standing Specialized Committee on Economic Affairs and Environment, Deadline for submission of nomination of candidates for the Executive Committee and the four Standing Specialized Committees, 20th Session of the PUIC General Committee, 7th Meeting of the Muslim Women Parliamentarians, Open Ended Drafting Committee chaired by the rapporteur of the conference and participation of the rapporteurs of the four Standing Specialized Committees to Draft the Final Communique of the Conference, Consultation Meeting of the African Group, and Consultation Meeting of the Asian Group are among programs of the event.
