Beirut, The Lebanese Foreign Ministry has condemned the tripartite aggression on Syria. The recent airstrikes by US, UK and France on Syria was breach of international regulations, Lebanese Foreign Ministry said. It is worthwhile for the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to carry out a transparent international investigation before any international attack, and then to issue a legitimate resolution through international bodies. The Lebanese Foreign Ministry also underlined Lebanon’s principled position against chemical weapons. The statement also emphasized the prohibition of the use and possession of weapons of mass destruction, especially for the Israeli nuclear weapons, and called for a ban on using them in military conflicts. Meanwhile, Lebanese Defense Ministry protested against violation of its air space in the recent attack. The Defense Minister of Lebanon Yacoub Sarraf said the aggression relies on military force, while the language of peace, logic, and dialogue must be used to avoid war, crisis, killing and bloodshed. Tehran,Bolivian President Evo Morales blasted US President Donald Trump specifically for the US-led attack on Syria overnight Saturday, describing it as 'outrageous'.

With the strength of dignity, of the people of the world, we condemn the outrageous attack by Trump against Syria,' Morales said in a message released in his twitter page.

'In 2003, Bush invented non-existent weapons of mass destruction to justify the US invasion of Iraq. What he was looking for was seizing oil. Now Trump repeats vile imperialist aggression against our Syrian brothers, also to seize the natural resources of another country,' he noted, quoted by Telesur TV network.

Earlier on Thursday and hours after US president warned of missile attacks, Bolivia had asked for the United Nations Security Council to meet on the escalation of rhetoric regarding Syria and these threats of unilateral military action.'

There's a consistency in these threats, so we are concerned because any unilateral action would be a violation of the principles and purposes of the (UN) charter, Bolivia's UN Ambassador Sacha Sergio Llorentty Soliz told reporters.

The US together with its allies, the UK and France targeted the Syrian capital city of Damascus early Saturday.
