Berlin truck attack suspect shot dead in Milan, according to Italian media qouting from Security sources.

The Tunisian man suspected of carrying out the Berlin truck attack was shot dead by police in Milan Friday, Italian media reported, AFP reports.

Marco Minniti, the country's interior minister, has announced a press conference for 10.45 am (0945 GMT).

German investigators are in contact with Italian authorities over the Berlin Christmas market attack, a spokesman for the Chief Federal Prosecutor's office said on Friday.

A man believed to be the suspect in the Berlin truck attack was killed in a shoot-out in a suburb of the northern Italian city of Milan on Friday, a security source told Reuters.
