Bomb Blast in Turkey Tourist Hub Causes Casualties
A massive explosion has occurred in the southwestern Turkish tourist hub of Antalya, leading to an unspecified number of casualties.
Ambulances were rushed to the scene after the blast, which happened in the parking lot of a chamber of commerce building in the city on Tuesday.
Mayor Menderes Turel of Antalya, meanwhile, said the incident may have been an accident, adding that it has not led to any life-threatening injuries.
Turkey has been rocked by a wave of deadly bomb attacks in the past 18 months blamed either on Kurdish militants of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) or the Takfiri Daesh (ISIS / ISIL) terrorist group, which is active in neighboring Iraq and Syria.
