Brazil envoy lauds football role in boosting Tehran-Brasilia ties
Abadan, Brazilian ambassador to Iran said on Friday that Iran and Brazil can use football as a means to enhance bilateral relations between the two nations.
Rodrigo de Azeredo Santos, referring to the Iranians' interest in football games, said that 'football can play a role in boosting relations between the two countries.'
Santos who had tripped to the city of Abadan in the southwestern province of Khouzestan to watch the match between Esteqlal Khuzestan and Sanat Naft local soccer teams, praised the interest of Iranian people, in particular, the people of Abadan in Brazilian football teams.
The envoy said that he is ready to coordinate presence of a Brazilian team in Abadan to play a friendly match with a local football team in the city.
