British Foreign Office Minister: UK seeking better ties with Iran
Tehran, Aug 8, British Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa Alistair Burt said UK is after maintaining better relations with Iran.
Speaking to Majlis (Parliament) news website, Burt confirmed Iran's positive approach toward nuclear deal also known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
He pointed to his participation in President Hassan Rouhani's inauguration ceremony held on Saturday in Tehran, saying he held bilateral talks.
He expressed happiness over Rouhani re-election as Iran's president, saying it would be a way to bolster ties with Iran.
World's countries are always seeking to establish relations with each other, he said.
Rouhani was reelected as president for a second consecutive term in national elections on May 19, securing nearly 57% of the total votes cast.
