Caspian Sea littoral states gather to discuss preserving aquatics
Baku, Representatives of five Caspian Sea littoral states came together in the second meeting of the Committee for the Conservation and Utilization of the Bioresources of the Caspian Sea in Baku on Thursday.
During the meeting, representatives of Iran, Azerbaijan Republic, Russia, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan explored avenues for preserving bioresources of Caspian Sea and joint cooperation in the field.
They also discussed fighting illegal fishing in Caspian Sea, littoral states' share of fishing of bioresources and preservation of fishes stock in 2017.
During the meeting, it was agreed that Iran would undertake presidency of Committee for the Conservation and Utilization of the Bioresources of the Caspian Sea for two years.
Iran will host the third round of the meeting next year..
