China’s President letters to Supreme Leader, President submitted
Tehran, Assistant Foreign Minister Chen of China Chen Xiaodong met with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Wednesday and submitted the separate letters of the President of China to the Supreme Leader and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Xiaodong called the visit of the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Ali Larijani to China as important and successful and emphasized the importance and expansion of the strategic relationship between Iran and China.
The senior Chinese official said the Chinese president are emphasizing the upholding and strengthening of relations with Iran and has issued directives to all government departments.
Iran's foreign minister, for his part, called Iran-China relations as long-standing, important, friendly and comprehensive and underlined the development and deepening of these relations.
Referring to the diversity and abundance of capacities and capabilities of the two countries, Zarif emphasized the will of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the expansion of relations between the two nations.
