Chinese academic: Expansion of Iran-China ties to avert West pressure
Beijing, � A senior Chinese academic stressed the significance of boosting ties between Iran and China when the West is escalating its illogical and unfair pressure against the two countries in political and economic arenas.
Talking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Deputy dean at Renmin University China Wang Yujie said the two countries have reached to the point that they could help each other to achieve development.
Yujie referred to the 40th anniversary of China's open-door policy which has paved the way for the country's progress and flourishment.
She added that China and Iran are under pressure of Western countries, adding the two sides should settle their challenges and problems via collaboration.
Yujie added the Western countries' pressures are not only limited to political and economic arenas but they have also spread to the social and cultural fields.
Hailing China and Iran ancient history and culture, she added the two countries' cultures are rooted in thousands years of history and are richer than the Western one.
She also stressed the significance of boosting mutual academic ties, adding that Renmin University enjoys cordial relations with several Iranian academic, scientific and cultural centers.
