Chinese media: Iran leader rejects talks with US
Beijing, Chinese media 'Xinhua' referred to Monday speech made by Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, saying Iran will not enter negotiations with US.
Negotiations with the United States will certainly be to Iran's disadvantage and are forbidden, Xinhua quoted Ayatollah Khamenei as saying.
It further referred to the Leader's speech where he had said, 'Economic experts and many officials believe the cause of the issue is not foreign, but internal. Not that sanctions do not have an impact, but the major impact is related to performances.'
Earlier commenting on the US President's offer of negotiation, the Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized, There will be no war, and we will not negotiate.
They do not talk about war explicitly, rather they are trying to create and exaggerate the ghost of war to scare the Iranian people, the Leader said.
He went on to say that, Iran will not be the initiator of any war, as ever, and the Americans will not initiate it either, since they are aware that they will harm themselves.
'The Islamic Republic of Iran and its people have proved that they respond to every aggressor with a bigger blow,' Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated.
