Comdr: Iranians to respond any threat
Tehran, Deputy Commander of Iranian Army for coordination warned enemies to be aware of the fact that all Iranians are determined to defend the country and will respond to any threat.
Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari made the remarks in meeting held in Supreme National Defense University on Monday, elaborating on the IRGC missile reaction to attack takfiri terrorists' positions in Syria.
Iranian officials had earlier announced that if terrorists and the countries that support them damage Iran's security, they will be punished, Sayyari said.
The IRGC on Monday shot six surface-to-surface ballistic missiles to takfiri terrorists' positions in eastern Euphrates in Syria.
During the operation, the IRGC shot six ballistic missiles from aerospace base in western Iran and targeted terrorists from a distance of 570kms.
Meanwhile, seven drones also bombarded terrorists' positions, IRGC reported.
At least 25 people, including women and children, were martyred and more than 60 others injured in September 22 terror attack in Ahvaz which took place during a military parade held to mark the 38th anniversary of the eight-year (1980-88) war imposed on Iran. The self-proclaimed Saudi-affiliated Al-Ahwaz terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack.
About thirty-five countries have so far condemned the terror attack in Iran.
