Commander: Iran not to compromise on its defensive power
Tehran, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces MajorGeneral Mohammad Hossein Baqeri on Sunday reaffirmed Iranian sovereignty right to bolster defense power, saying that Iran never compromises on the main issue of Revolution, the selfdefense.
In his message which was released on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the demise of the Father of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini, Baqeri said that expansion of Iran's strategic depth and its regional authority have created new conditions and there is no doubt that today, no problem in West Asia can be solved without Iran's contribution.
In spite of enjoying allout support of West and some Arab countries, formation of the Islamic Resistance front has created security nightmare for the occupying regime of Israel, he added.
He said that enemies of Islam need a big coalition to stand against Iran, adding that they will be defeated.
The Islamic Revolution has entered its second phase for social life and and civilization by taking advantage of valuable experiences of 40 years strategic confrontation with enemies, Baqeri noted.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Iranian commander said that the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran serves to beef up national security and boost defensive and deterrence power against Takfiri terrorism and the US cruel sanctions.
