Copper cathode production recorded 53% growth
Tehran, Production of cathode copper in March, with 21,707 tons, recorded a 53% growth compared to the last year.
The data on the production of major mining companies and mineral industries in March showed that the production of copper cathode in the Copper Sarcheshmeh (Kerman) complex in Refinery Unit in April reached 13,759 tons, up 61 percent from the same month last year. The leaching unit produced 572,000 tons of cathode, a onepercent increase compared to March 2018.
In addition, Midok Complex (Shahre BabakKerman) produced 6,856 tons of copper cathode in the refinery in March, which represents 49 percent growth compared to the same month last year.
Also, the Midok leaching unit also recorded a growth of 8% in March compared to the same month last year, producing 520,000 tons of copper cathode.
Based on the statistical tables of the mentioned companies, copper anode in the Sarcheshmeh and Khatunabad complex of Kerman reached 31,268 tons, which increased by 26 percent compared to the same month in 2017.
The production of copper anode in the Sarcheshmeh complex in April of 2018 was 21.28 tons and Khatunabad in the amount of 10,000 tons and 240,000 kg, which show a 31 percent and 17 percent growth, respectively, compared to the same month last year.
