Copter crash kills 25 in W Afghanistan

Harat, A military helicopter crashed in Afghanistan's western province of Farah, killing a military commander, head and a member of Farah provincial council, as well as 22 others.

Spokesperson of Farah governor Mohammad Naser Mehri confirmed the crash, adding that the helicopter was on its way from Farah to Harat and crashed in a mountainous area near Anar Darreh in western Afghanistan.

No reports have been released on the possible causes of the crash by the officials of the Afghan Defense Ministry.

Another helicopter was also shot down in Afghanistan on September 15 which killed five.
