Coronavirus vaccine imports exceeds 60 million doses
Tehran, IRNA – According to the published statistics by the Iranian Customs Administration, 60 million, 323 thousand and 606 doses of various types of coronavirus vaccines have been imported in 55 batches so far.
The published statistics by the Iranian Customs Administration indicates that the maximum number of vaccines were imported from January 4 to August 22, 2021, 32 batches of them were 50 million, 726 thousand and 396 doses of Sinofarm vaccines.
After that the AstraZeneca vaccines (imported from Japan) included 2 million, 911 thousand and 810 doses, a batch of Covax vaccines from Italy including one million and 452 thousand doses, and a batch of AstraZeneca vaccines imported from China.
The Corona pandemic spread in Iran began in March, 2019, and its public vaccination started in March 2121.
