Dissolving Iraq’s Hashd al-Shaabi among new plots: Official

Tehran- Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani said on Monday that dissolving the Iraqi Hash al-Shaabi troops indicates a new plot has been hatched by the enemies to bring back insecurity to the region.

The unison of president of a western country with the Zionist regime on dissolving Hashd al-Shaabi troops in Iraq revealed a new plot to bring back insecurity and terrorism to the region, he said.

Shamkhani made the remarks in a meeting with Chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council in Iraq, First deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Sheikh Humam Hamoudi in Tehran on Monday.

Vigilance of the Iraqi officials mainly their parliamentarian never let aliens to damage the country's security and integrity and there is no doubt that they will seriously deal with such conspiracies, he said.

Referring to annihilation of Daesh terrorist group and cleansing Iraq from this Takfiri group, he congratulated this significant achievement to the Iraqi people, government as well as Iraqi army, Shamkhani said.

To uproot Daesh mentality wining support of some countries in the region, all should be united to continuously deal with this phenomenon, he said.

Patience and resistance of the Iraqi people and courage of their army, security forces and public forces such as Hashd al-Shaabi resulted to annihilation of one of the biggest threats in the region, Shamkhani said.

Major parts of crisis in the region will be hatched or guided by the US and the Zionist regime to secure Tel Aviv's killer rulers and sales of more arms, but people in Iraq proved that security could not be purchased and instead of relying on foreign powers they relied on themselves and mobilized their popular forces based on the decree issued by their top religious figures, he said.

Close cooperation between victims of terrorism in the region in the fight against terrorists is vital, he said.

Expansion of parliamentary cooperation between Islamic countries can help echo the voice of the oppressed people in Yemen and Bahrain to the world public opinion in order to push international organizations prevent violence as well as interference of foreign forces, he said.

The Iraqi envoy, for his part, thanked Iran's significant role in fight against terrorist groups in Iraq and underlined that despite of economic and security problems they have achieved significant advancements and the trend is to be continued with reliance on the supports made by real allies.

In the absence of devoted resistance forces in Iraq, Daesh terrorists had set up their base in the heart of Paris, he said.

In the meeting, the two sides also exchanged views on expansion of bilateral relations and mutual cooperation along with regional developments.
