Downing Iran passenger plane, clear example of HR violation by US: Pak MP
In an interview with IRNA, Member of National Assembly (MNA) Shehryar Afridi said it is the collective responsibility of the world states especially the Muslim countries to stand up against the human rights violations committed by the US in different parts of the world.
It is very unfortunate that violators of human rights are claiming to be the champions of human rights, he noted.
The lawmaker went on to say that the US is the biggest industry of conventional and non-conventional weapons so how can they talk about human rights ?
The politician added that children and women in Syria, Iraq, Libya, and Yemen are subject to the worst kind of human rights violations because of the American policies.
US must understand that people of Muslim countries are also human beings and their rights are as important as the rights of the people of Western countries, said the parliamentarian.
Shehryar Afridi expressing his views said that Daesh is also one of the clear examples of the US human rights abuses in Syria, Iraq, Libya and many other countries.
Look what Americans did in Kuwait and in Iraq imposed war on Iran, these are all sheer human rights violations but unfortunately the world is silent over the gross human rights violations of the US in many parts of the world, regretted the lawmaker.
He said the whole world needs to stand up against the human rights abuses of the US. It is our collective responsibility to counter the aggressive US policies in the world, we need to raise this issue at all international forums, viewed the parliamentarian.
The political activist expressing his views said Iran and Pakistan need to work together to change the global negative perception against them and expose the western plots against third world countries especially Muslim states.
He noted that American drone strikes in Pakistan are also another example of human rights violations killing innocent people including women and children.
