Economy committee’s monetary, banking bill report discussed/Goods exchange in unofficial temporary border markets to be organised/Gov’t to back overhauling, monitoring fuel tanks, petrol stations/$5bn credit allocated to Red Crescent Society
The cabinet convened on Sunday in a session that was chaired by President Rouhani and discussed and reviewed the Economy Committee's monetary and banking bill report, based on which Iran's currency was defined as Toomaan.
The Council of Ministers also discussed border markets and decided that goods exchange in unofficial temporary border markets be organised.
Members of the cabinet also agreed a proposal by the Ministry of Petroleum to support overhauling, securing and monitoring standardization of fuel tanks and CNG stations.
Also, approximately $6.6m of credit was allocated for providing fresh water to Sistan and Baluchistan province.
The cabinet also allocated roughly $132m of credit to the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran for preventing and addressing disasters.
The Council of Ministers also discussed and made decisions on other issues such as settling the government's debts and increasing the capital of the National Iranian Gas Company.
