Makkah: The Ekram Association for Food Preservation has distributed iftar and suhoor meals to individuals observing Itikaf a religious period of retreat during the last ten nights of Ramadan at the Grand Mosque.Ahmed Harbi Al-Matrafi, the director of the association, stated that Ekram has started distributing 3,500 meals to those observing Itikaf since the start of these nights.He further highlighted that this distribution brings the total number of meals provided by the association since the beginning of Ramadan to more than 15,000.Al-Matrafi emphasized the association's contribution to offering comprehensive services to visitors of the Grand Mosque, including those observing Itikaf, ensuring they can engage in their worship without the need to search for food.According to Al-Matrafi, the meals provided to individuals observing Itikaf consist of different foods compared to other iftar meals offered by the association in different areas of the Grand Mosque.Source: Saudi Press Agency
