Envoy lauds world support for Iran against US
Tehran, Iranian envoy to Brazil lauded the world's support for Iran against the US after Washington's withdrawal from the nuclear deal reached between Islamic Republic and G5+1 in 2015.
The international community's negative response to the US withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the insulting remarks of this country's officials proved the Islamic Republic's righteousness, Iran's Ambassador to Brazil Ali Saqaian said in an interview with local media .
US President Donald Trump on May 8 pulled out Washington from Iran nuclear deal and reinstated sanctions on Tehran.
This is while most world powers, including Russia, China, and the European Union, have repeatedly stressed that keeping the 2015 deal is in the interest of the world peace and security.
Iran has set a deadline for the European sides of the nuclear talks to provide Islamic Republic with enough guarantees in a way that Tehran's interests are secured.
