Envoy: Talented Iranian children shine in world contest
Tehran, Iran's Ambassador to Malaysia Marziyeh Afkham said on Tuesday that Iran is very proud of its talented children who attained trophy at PAMA Global Abacus championship.
Talented and genius Iranian children who attended PAMA Global Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Championships in Malaysia ranked first in this trophy hosting flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Managing Director of Talented Children Institute Rouhollah Mokhberian said Iranian children who could successfully grab the trophy at PAMA 2018 truly demonstrates might of Iranian children in mental calculations.
Some 35 out of 733 children were talented Iranian who attended in the globally recognized championship from 24 countries round the globe, Mokhber said.
The same institute had participated in last year's competition in South Africa and ranked first in that tournament, he said.
Talented youths from Taiwan, Thailand, Canada, Hong Kong, US, South Africa, Vietnams, South Korea, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Australia, India, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, the UAE, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Tajikistan, Yemen and the Islamic Republic of Iran attended the international competition where the Iranian squad ranked first at the 18th round of such globally recognized event.
Iran has offered to host the 2019 PAMA Global Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Championships and in case to be accepted it will be held in Tehran.
