Erdogan, Putin underline maintaining Syrian territorial integrity
Ankara, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in a telephone conversation on Saturday stressed the need for preserving Syria's territorial integrity.
During the phone talk, both sides called for immediate settlement of civil war in the Arab state in the context of Astana Peace Talks.
Erdogan said that Syrian government forces' attack on Idlib may stop implementation of the agreement reached during Astana Talks.
He further noted that to prevent clashes in Idlib, it is necessary for the opposition forces to take part in Astana Talks slated for July 30-31.
Both heads of states also discussed bilateral ties and regional developments over phone.
