Exports of goods from Sistan-Baluchistan ups 67%
Zahedan, Export of goods from the customs and border markets of Sistan and Baluchestan in Southeastern Iran has increased by 67 percent in value.
The head of the Sistan and Baluchestan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization said that the export of goods from the customs and border markets of the province during the first four months of current Iranian year (beginning in 21th of March) was 564,971 tons with the value of $192 million, which in comparison to the same period in last year has increased by 67 percent in value.
Nader Mirshekar on Saturday, describing the activities carried out in the field of export of goods from the province, said,' The export volume of this year from the customs of the province is $60 millon, and the markets of the province are 132 million dollars. The share of exports from the customs of the province was 31% and the border markets were 69%.
According to the statistics, the trade balance of the province during this period was positive and reached the level of more than 119 million dollars.
'The total export of the province through the customs and border markets over the past four months to Pakistan was more than 107 million dollars which it grew by 85% in comparison to last year.
Mirshekar said that the province's exports to Pakistan totaled 55 percent during the four months of this year, adding that construction materials (cement), dates, apples, tomatoes, gas and watermelons were the main products to Pakistan.
