The Saudi Film Commission is participating in the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, in France, with a group of local animated filmmakers, in a way to drive forward this dominant field in the industry. The one-week event starts today.

The festival is a global event dedicated to animation, bringing together established professionals from the sector to celebrate creative techniques and styles of animation.

According to the commission, the Saudi animated short film "Saleeg", winner of the "Daw’ Film Competition", will be premiered at the festival, competing for the best-animated short film award in the "Perspectives" category.
