First VP urges US to treat Iran with logic not intimidation
Tehran, The US has violated an agreement that seven countries had agreed on, an act which is contrary to the humanrights and international laws, said Iran's vice president on Sunday.
'A man has gained power in the US that disrupted the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) all at once; he wants to pressure the people of Iran while they pretend to press the government,' said Eshaq Jahangiri.
'They try to prevent foods and basic goods from entering Iran.'
Jahangiri added Americans are trying to stop Iran's oil sale entirely but see that Europeans, China, India, and Russia are resisting against them and support the JCPOA.
'That's why the US pressures the companies; any company that works with Iran will be sanctioned.'
Commenting on Arbaeen procession, Jahangiri said that in this ceremony, the people of Iran, Iraq and other parts of the world put on display the unity of the Muslims.
Arbaeen mourning ceremony is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world. It marks the 40th day after the martyrdom anniversary of the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), Imam Hussein (AS), the third Imam of the Shia Muslims.
Every year, millions of Iranian Shia Muslims and Muslims from other countries travel to the holy cities of Iraq to make Arbaeen pilgrimage. This year Arbaeen falls on October 30.
