FM Zarif urges regional countries to set aside animosity
Tehran, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif urged regional countries to forget hostility and exclusion approach.
I stressed [Council on Foreign Relations] CFR and will stress again today UNGA [United Nations General Assembly] that it is imperative for us in the Persian Gulf to change the prevailing zero-sum paradigm of exclusion and hostility to one of cooperation and confidence-building. I invite our neighbors and UN to support 'Regional Dialogue Forum', Zarif wrote on his Twitter account on Tuesday.
Zarif is in New York to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) High-level Meeting on Sustaining Peace.
The event is to be held from April 24-25 in the United Nations General Assembly.
