Foreign diplomats condole with Iran on plane crash

Tehran, Foreign diplomats to Tehran expressed condolences over the deadly plane crash in central Iran.

I extend my condolences to all those who lost their loved ones on the Aseman Airlines flight which crashed near Yasuj, Former United Nations Resident Coordinator in Iran Gary Lewis wrote in a Twitter message released on Sunday.

The Embassy of Switzerland conveys its heartfelt condolences to the families of all those affected by the Aseman Airlines flight EP3704 plane crash, Swiss Mission in Tehran said in a Twitter message.

Meanwhile, German ambassador to Iran expressed condolences over the sad occasion, saying deeply saddened by the news of the plane crash near Samirom in Isfahan province. Germany is ready to help.

The plane had 66 people on board, including 60 passengers, 2 flight attendants and pilots and 2 security forces, Iran Emergency Center spokesmen Mojtaba Khaledi told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

An Iranian passenger plane which crashed this morning had hit Dena Mountains, Iran Emergency Center announced.

The Asseman Airlines' passenger plane crashed in the Kohangan Village near the Padena region, 120 Km from Semirom in Isfahan Province, Shahrokh Konari, Governor of the Kohgiluyeh-Boyer Ahmad Province earlier told the Islamic Republic News Agency.
