French embassy commemorates Iranian late surgeon

Tehran, French embassy in Tehran has commemorated well-known Iranian-French spinal column (backbone) surgeon professor Kayvan Mazda, who passed away recently.

French embassy in its twitter account wrote that Professor Kayvan Mazda, a distinguished backbone surgeon regretfully passed away.

He used to travel to Iran several times a year to conduct surgeries on children.

Professor Mazda was heading orthopedic ward of a hospital in Paris.

He was born in 1949 in Abadan city, Khuzestan Province, and immigrated to France in 1956.
