Riyadh: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, in a meeting here today with EU Special Representative for the Horn of Africa Dr. Annette Weber, stressed that the military escalation and serious violations carried out by the Israeli occupation forces in the Palestinian territories greatly affect security and stability in the region and Africa.

The two officials discussed several issues of common interest, including strengthening GCC-EU cooperation, and the need for the international community to exert every effort to reduce regional and international escalation in order to maintain security and stability.
