Gov’t alongside Astan Quds Razavi to serve Imam Reza’s pilgrims better
President had a meeting with the Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi late on Saturday and stressed that the government is alongside Astan Quds Razavi to serve Imam Reza's pilgrims better.
Heading back home from his threeday visit to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, President Hassan Rouhani had a stop in Mashhad to make pilgrimage to Imam Reza's (PBUH) holy shrine, and then met with the Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, Hojjatoleslam valMoslemin Ahmad Marvi.
Stating that the goals of the Astan and the government are the same, he said, The government will spare no effort in helping the Astan to serve people more.
The government has exerted special attention to Mashhad, and especially renovation of the neighbourhoods around the holy shrine, saying, The government is alongside Astan Quds Razavi with all its might to provide Imam Reza's (PBUH) pilgrims with more services.
Referring to Supreme Leader's emphasis, Dr Rouhani said, This holy Astan will work towards serving people alongside the government and public services.
At the meeting, Hojjatoleslam valMoslemin Ahmad Marvi described employment the most important need of the society, adding, Astan Quds Razavi does not consider itself separated from the government.
He also said that turning Sarakhs into a Special Free Zone would be very fruitful for Khorasan Razavi Province and the region, saying, Astan Quds Razavi is ready to fully cooperate with the government in this regard.
