Greece’s bishop: politics without piety always troublesome
Mashad, The Bishop of Greece said that politics without piety has always created many problems and challenges throughout history.
Platon Apostolos said on Wednesday at the opening ceremony of the first international conference of 'Imam Reza and Interfaith Dialogue' in Mashad that justice and peaceful coexistence are possible in the light of God's justice. 'Justice can be the platform for the dialogue of civilizations for human beings.'
He stated that mosques and churches have always been the safe house in most countries, and it is the duty of religious scholars to work on better recognition of God and the status of God's justice and attaining the ideal human rights for all human beings.
The bishop said divine religions play an important role in laying the foundations of human rights, and among them, religious leaders play the most important role.
Apostolos added that education and civil rights depend on the freedom of religion in multi-religious and multicultural societies, all religious leaders should freely express their religious beliefs to their followers.
